About Us

The name of the sugar shack, “La Petite Cabane à Sucre,” is a nod to the past. In the last century, many farming families in Quebec also owned a sugar maple forest. During the winter and spring, they worked to harvest maple water and transform it into maple syrup.

The owners of “La Petite Cabane à Sucre” are thus continuing the tradition of their maple-farming ancestors while looking straight ahead to the future. As they say, “Small will become big!”

With modern technologies making maple syrup production easier, the sugar shack now boasts 90,000 taps across its sites in Cleveland and Ham-Sud in the Eastern Townships.
